I couldn't stop smiling as I worked on Kelley and Errol's images. What a fun weekend in DC! They started with a legal ceremony at the courthouse on Friday, where the decor included rose covered wrapping paper, silk flowers, and florescent lights. We couldn't resist a few 'prom poses' under the arbor. On Saturday, the ceremony was held at the World War I Memorial, followed by a champagne toast, cupcakes and a first dance to the Montana State song (sung by the three guests and myself-it was the only song that everyone knew and seemed fitting for Kelley and Errol). After that, we were chauffeured around to several locations for portraits, and ended with a night shot at the Capitol. What a perfect way to start married life together. Kelley and Errol, I am so happy for you and can't thank you enough for the belly laughs, good food, and fond memories.
We had a little fun in the water for Nicole and Jason's day after session. Enjoy!
Nicole and Jason had the most charming southern wedding in the beautiful morning light, with pastries and lemonade on the beach. Their Tybee Island ceremony was intimate and sweet, followed by a luncheon reception at Vic's on the River, an old cotton warehouse in Savannah. I had a slight obsession with their details, and especially Nicole's bouquet. Of course Nicole planned her day knowing when the light would be beautiful because she is an amazing photographer herself! We had the whole afternoon and evening to get gorgeous photos around Savannah. I loved the spanish moss, blooms, and historic buildings. My first trip to the South won't be forgotten. Thank you so much Nicole and Jason, I am so happy for you, and it was an honor to photograph your fabulous day.
